2 Critically Endangered Sumatran Baby Tigers Born at San Diego Zoo
July 28, 2023
The San Diego Zoo Safari Park is celebrating the birth of a pair of Sumatran tiger cubs who were born there July 12. It was first time in seven years that the critically endangered species added to its population at the zoo. “Our hope is these cubs will provide an opportunity for our guests to gain a greater appreciation for tigers and the important need to conserve them in their native habitats,” said Executive Director Lisa Peterson.
