Survivors and Parents of Victims Reflect on 10 Years Since the Sandy Hook Shooting

It’s been 10 years since the shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School, and now families and the public have a place to mourn. Twenty-six wreaths of flowers float around a circular pool, flowers for each of the lives taken on December 14th, 2012, when a gunman entered an elementary school in Newtown, Connecticut. Twenty first graders and six teachers died that day. Families of the victims were allowed to visit the memorial privately before it opened to the public.
