An American student was found dead in Russia, four days after going missing. Catherine Serou, 34, was a former U.S. Marine. She moved from California to Russia in 2019 to pursue a master’s degree in law, in hopes of one day becoming an immigration lawyer, according to reports. Her body was found in a wooded area in a city 250 miles east of Moscow. Alexander Popov, 43, has been charged with killing Serou, according to Russian media.
