An 18-year-old girl who locked herself in a Thai hotel room to keep from being sent back to her allegedly abusive family has been allowed to stay in the country to meet with U.N. refugee officials. Rahaf Mohammed al-Qunun sent out desperate pleas for help on Twitter after running away during a family trip to Kuwait and hopping on a plane to Thailand.
