Teen Surprised by Military Mom at Race Finish Line: 'I Instantly Started Crying'

As Jada McGee, 13, crossed the finish line during her championship track meet, a very special fan was waiting for her. Capt. Erika Woodson has been serving with the military in Alaska and hadn't been home to California in nearly six months. She missed many of her daughter's middle school track meets, but was determined to be there for the big race. "I was excited because I was in first place and I saw my mom close to the finish line so it made me start running faster," McGee said.
