Texas Couple Saves Dog Found Swimming in Lake and Their Friends Adopt It

When Rebecca Champ spied through a pair of binoculars a dog struggling in the middle of the lake near her Houston home, she and her husband Quenton jumped into their boat and headed out towards the animal. When the dog swam away from the boat, Quenton stripped down and dove in to rescue the lab mix puppy himself. They named him Freddie, and posted about the ordeal on social media. That’s when friend John Hall saw Freddie, and he and his wife Demetria reached out about adopting the dog.
