‘The Hunt’ Is Released After Being Shelved Following String of Gun Violence

The movie is being marketed as “the most talked about movie of the year is one nobody’s seen.” Universal’s "The Hunt" is being released next week after it was shelved last year following several high profile shootings in Ohio and Texas. The film, starring Hillary Swank, was criticized as being overly violent and politically divisive. But Variety’s Matt Donnelly says the movie is not what you think, while TIME Magazine calls it a “tongue-in-cheek … satirical thriller.”
