These Dogs May Have to Be Put Down if They Don’t Get Adopted

No animal lover wants to hear about a dog getting put down. However, that is exactly the case at the Long Beach Animal Shelter in California. In just two months, they went from celebrating a milestone to lamenting and panicking about what they should do with so many pups. “What tipped us over the edge was last week, when we got an influx of dogs coming in from homeless encampments,”  Long Beach Animal Care Service worker Megan Ignacio said.
