Thieves Take $1,600 Worth of Paper Towels and Laundry Detergent From Store

A team of four masked shoplifters filled a minivan and SUV with the stolen goods from a grocery store in Connecticut, making away with about $1,600 worth of detergent and paper towels. Onlookers seemed more interested in filming and berating the shoplifters than calling the police. Most large stores have a “no chase” policy for shoplifters. Connecticut State Police advised that had 911 been called, they could have intervened.
