Thousands of Pounds of Food Dropped to Animals Affected by Australian Wildfires

About 2,000 pounds of vegetables are being dropped across Australia to help out hungry wallabies at Wollemi National Park. Known as “Operation Rock Wallaby,” the food drops are part of a larger recovery effort. The wildfires that have ravaged the county continue to burn, and wildlife are left looking for any bit of relief they can find. Ecologists fear one billion animals have died as a result of the fires.
