According to the American Veterinary Medical Association, if temperatures fall below 20 degrees, your dog could be at risk for hypothermia and frostbite and should only go outside for quick potty trips. Dogs owners should watch for shivering, anxiety, lifting paws, or slowing down as warning signs that their dog should get out of the cold.
