Top White House Aide Rob Porter Resigns After Allegations of Domestic Violence

February 7, 2018

A top White House aide quit Wednesday after accusations surfaced that he gave his ex-wife a black eye. Rob Porter, the White House Staff Secretary, quit after photos were published on The Daily Mail’s website showing his ex-wife, Colbie Holderness, with a bruised eye. Holderness claims Porter punched her during a vacation in Italy when they were married. "He threw me down on the bed and punched me in the face. I think he was shocked he had lost control to that extent," she was quoted as saying.
