Train Passengers Surprised by Opera Performances Written by Female Composers

St. Pancras train station in London was the stage for pop-up performances by singers from the Royal Opera House, accompanied by musicians from Belgium’s Caso Phil chamber orchestra. The pop-up took place on International Women’s Day, and the micro-operas were all created by female composers and librettists. The operas were based on stories and anecdotes submitted by the public around the themes of train travel, time, motion, meetings and farewells.
