Tropical Storm Elsa Caused ‘Commute From Hell’ Flooding in New York City Subways

July 9, 2021

Torrential rain from Tropical Storm Elsa flooded the New York City Subway system, creating a commute from hell when passengers had to wade through the gross water. Video shows some New Yorkers waist-deep in water trying to make their way around the city. Some tried to stay dry using garbage bags, but their efforts were useless and many just braved the deluge to get where they needed to go. Many folks made it home only to find out that their homes were flooded, too.
