Orphaned Mountain Lions Saved After Mother Was Hit by Car

A pair of orphaned mountain lions are being cared for at a California zoo. Officials say the two cubs were found about 100 yards away from the body of a female mountain lion that had been hit by a car and killed. Because they are so young and have no mother to train them, they lack the skills to survive in the wild. The Oakland Zoo says it will take care of the mountain lions until a permanent home is found.
