United Accepts Responsibility for Death of Dog on Airplane

A 10-month-old puppy died aboard a United Airlines plane after a flight attendant said the dog had to be placed in an overhead bin. The airline has apologized for the incident, which took place during a trip from Houston to New York City. "This was a tragic accident that should never have occurred," United said in a statement, extending its "deepest condolences to the family."
