HIV Infections Could Rise 6 Times by 2029

New infections of HIV could rise 6 times by 2029 if the Trump Administration drops its financial support for measures to fight the disease. UNAIDS says there could be a dramatic rise in cases if the the United States permanently cuts funding through the U.S. President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief. Without American funds, officials estimate 8.7 million people could be newly infected with HIV and 3.4 million children could be made orphans because of HIV AIDS.
