University of Arizona Science Professor Shot to Death by Former Student: Cops

Tom Meixner was a prominent professor and chair of the University of Arizona’s Department of Hydrology and Atmospheric Sciences. Now the search is on for answers after cops say a former student gunned him down. University police received an urgent call about a former student, who had been barred from campus, in a building. The caller asked officers to remove the ex-student. But just minutes later, before cops arrived, shots were fired.
