Vandal Used Sledgehammer to Smash Face of Virgin Mary on Church Mural

A community woke up to an act of vandalism. The face of the Virgin Mary had been smashed on this mural at a church in southern California. Surveillance video caught the vandal in the act. Father Vito DiMarzio of St Elisabeth Catholic Church in Van Nuys says he was heartbroken to watch the desecration of a sacred figure. He reported the incident to the police and hopes justice will be served. However, forgiveness quickly came to him. Inside Edition Digital’s Mara Montalbano has more.
