Trooper Plunges Into Freezing Water to Save Little Girl
A Vermont trooper is speaking out after saving an 8-year-old girl’s life. Without a moment's hesitation, Michelle Archer plunged straight into the freezing water to rescue a drowning girl in a pond. “I knew I had to get in there as quick as possible and get her out as quick as possible,” says Archer. The trooper swam through 40-degree water until she found the young girl. Thankfully, she was able to haul the child out of the pond.
