Villagers Lack Tools to Battle Deadly Wildfires in Northern Algeria

Massive wildfires have scorched the North African nation of Algeria, and villagers and army members have been battling the blazes. The flames have claimed at least 65 people, including 28 members of the military. Some of the hard-hit northern regions in the country seemed ill-equipped to fight the fires. One villager told Reuters, “We don’t have tools, we are trying with what we have to put it out.”
