Vintage Watch Could Sell for Record-Breaking $4 Million at Auction

November 7, 2018

A vintage Swiss watch could break an auction record by fetching up to $4 million. The Patek Philippe watch known as "the Asprey" last sold at auction in 2006 for 2.2 million Swiss francs, which is about $2.2 million. Made in 1952, it is believed to have been a 21st birthday present for someone with the initials R.C., which are engraved into the back of its gold case. It goes up for auction in Geneva next week.
