Was William Shatner Jealous of Leonard Nimoy’s ‘Star Trek’ Fan Attention?

A new book is detailing the alleged backstage bad blood on the set of “Star Trek” between co-stars William Shatner and Leonard Nimoy. The rivalry is detailed in the new book, “Shatner,” by TV critic Michael Starr. “Leonard Nimoy was getting the bulk of fan mail and that really pissed off Bill Shatner,” Starr tells Inside Edition. “And they met with Gene Roddenberry, the show’s creator, just to have a meeting to get him to [answer] ‘Who is the star of this show?’”
