Watch as Tear Gas Is Thrown Into Government Meeting
March 21, 2018
Thick smoke filled the chambers of a government assembly as canisters of tear gas were tossed in, forcing politicians and others to flee while wiping their eyes. It happened in the parliament of Kosovo, a part of the former Yugoslavia. Lawmakers there were voting on a border treaty with neighboring Montenegro, when members of an opposition party expressed their disapproval by chemical means. It's hoped the vote will resume later Wednesday.
