Whales, Bears, Turtles and Raccoons All Get Freed From Man-Made Garbage

Rescue divers off the coast of Italy worked to free a whale trapped in an illegal fishing net. The rescuers first tried to cut loose the whale from their boat. But when they saw how thoroughly it was stuck, they had to get in the water. Rescuers off Australia’s Gold Coast had to perform a similar operation on two whales that had gotten stuck in shark nets. In the waters off New Jersey, the U.S. Coast Guard had to free a loggerhead sea turtle stuck in a line.
