Who Chopped Down Dozens of Trees in Downtown Los Angeles?

Dozens of trees in downtown Los Angeles were illegally cut down over the weekend by unknown suspects. The mayor's office told reporters the destruction of the trees is "beyond comprehension," and that it is making plans to replace the felled trees. Arborist Stephanie Kerry, who runs the Trees of LA Instagram account, told KCBS, "It takes seconds with a chainsaw to erase decades of potential environmental benefits. So that is just extremely tragic."
