Why Are People Dressing More Casually at Airports?

The fashion at airports this summer looks more like passengers are headed to the gym than on a flight. People are dressing very casually, from their footwear to their pants, to be comfortable on the airplane. Classic movies showed the spiffy way people used to dress up to fly. A New York Times headline reads: "Endless Lines, Baffling Delays, Crocs for Days." However, some passengers are just fine with dressing casually.
