Why Some New York City Restaurants Say 25% Capacity Is Unfair

Restaurant owners in New York City have had all they can stomach of the COVID-19 crackdown. Yesterday, New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo said that restaurants in the city will be allowed to open for indoor dining, but only at 25% capacity. But restaurant owners are far from thrilled, with some going as far as to call the order “a slap in the face.” A group of 25 restaurant owners is filing a class action lawsuit against Gov. Cuomo and Mayor De Blasio to stop the restriction from going into place.
