Why This California Nurse Bought 2 Firearms During the Pandemic

California nurse Linda Jefferson says she has bought two firearms since the start of the pandemic and is looking to purchase another one. She says she sleeps with her shotgun under her bed following recent disturbances in Los Angeles. Gun sales among women are up 40% compared to the same time last year - an estimated two million women bought their first firearm in 2020, a spike attributed to worries over the pandemic and what might happen after this year’s election.
