Wild Bears Run Uninterrupted After Lake Tahoe’s Residents Evacuate

After the vast majority of residents evacuated from South Lake Tahoe to escape the Caldor wildfires, bears are taking over the resort town. With all the humans gone, the animals suddenly have the town all to themselves. One bear hangs out in a trash bin before wandering off in search of other food. Inside Edition spoke with South Lake Tahoe resident Todd Johnon, who is hoping his home will survive the approaching flames. After fire insurance prices spiked, he was forced to cancel it.
