Winter Storm Orlena Cancels Thousands of Vaccine Appointments in New York City
In New York City, all vaccination appointments for Monday and Tuesday were canceled because of Winter Storm Orlena. Officials are hoping to resume giving shots on Wednesday. In neighboring New Jersey, the governor declared a state of emergency, which means all six of the state's mass vaccination sites were closed Monday. Despite loads of flights being canceled, FedEx said they have “contingency plans to help mitigate any potential delays” with vaccine shipments.
