Woman Gets Rare Surgery So She Can Control Bionic Arm With Her Mind

Melissa Loomis lost her arm four years ago when she tried to break up a fight between a raccoon and her dogs. Melissa's arm became septic and doctors had no choice but to amputate. Her surgeon performed an experimental surgery that had never before been attempted in the U.S., rewiring her nerves and giving her the ability to feel with her prosthetic arm, tricking her brain into thinking she has a real limb.
