Zelenskyy Oscars Appearance Vetoed by Academy Awards, Amy Schumer Says

Oscars co-host Amy Schumer revealed in an interview with Drew Barrymore that she wanted to feature Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskyy during the awards show, but the Academy wouldn’t go for it. There is also concern that the Oscars ceremony could become a super spreader event after an apparent COVID outbreak at the BAFTA awards ceremony in London. And “West Side Story” breakout Rachel Zegler says she wasn’t invited to the Oscars despite the film being nominated for Best Picture.
