The Mega Millions jackpot climbs to $654 million after no one won the $548 million in Friday’s drawing.
The prize is the second-highest in the game's history and has a lump sum option of $372.6 million. The jackpot has been growing since July 24, and the next drawing is set for Tuesday.
Friday’s drawing was the 23rd time no one matched all six numbers.
The largest sum ever recorded was $656 million, which was shared by three people in 2012.
The odds of winning the Mega Millions jackpot is reportedly one in 258.9 million.
