Meghan Markle Gave Birth at Hospital, Baby's Birth Certificate Reveals
The Duchess of Sussex had hoped to have a home birth.
Baby Archie's birth certificate is here — and it's helping to answer some lingering questions!
The newest royal's full name is listed as Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor on the single typed page, which was made public Friday.
The location of his birth has been shrouded in secrecy ever since he was born on May 6, but the document finally clears up the mystery, revealing he was born at Portland Hospital, a private hospital on Great Portland Street in London. Meghan had hoped for a home birth.
Meghan is identified as Rachel Meghan Her Royal Highness the Duchess of Sussex. Rachel is her legal name.
Under her occupation, she's listed as Princess of the United Kingdom. Kate Middleton listed herself the same way on her children's birth certificates.
Prince Harry's full name is also given: His Royal Highness Henry Charles Albert David Duke of Sussex. His occupation is listed as Prince of the United Kingdom.
"It’s great, parenting is amazing,” Harry said as he introduced the world to Archie alongside his wife on May 8. "We're just so thrilled to have our own little bundle of joy."
