Meghan Markle Will Spend Her First Royal Birthday at a Wedding
Prince Harry is reportedly the best man.
Meghan Markle turns 37 Saturday, but don't expect a big bash on her first birthday as a royal.
Instead, the Duchess of Sussex and her husband will be spending her birthday at a wedding.
Prince Harry's close pal Charlie Van Straubenzee, who was an usher at the royal wedding in May, is getting married over the weekend.
The prince met Van Straubenzee while they were classmates at Ludgrove Prep School and they have remained close friends.
Harry is reportedly serving as best man at the wedding.
“Last year, Meghan and Harry were on safari in southern Africa," royal expert Victoria Arbiter told Inside Edition. "It was a very private, a very special birthday. The two of them really enjoy southern Africa. This year, they'll be kicking their heels up at a wedding."
Meanwhile, Markle's estranged father, Thomas Markle, says he plans to send her a birthday card, whether she wants one or not.
"Just wishing her birthday greetings, nothing more," he told "Good Morning Britain."
