Meghan Markle's Camelot Influence: Actress' Fashion Appears to Channel Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy
The "Suits" star recently stepped out in the same type of turtleneck, skirt and boots as the late wife of John F. Kennedy Jr.
Is Meghan Markle channeling Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy with her fashion choices?
Markle’s black turtle neck and camel-colored skirt she wore Friday on her first royal visit with Prince Harry following the announcement of their engagement is strikingly similar to an outfit once worn by the late wife of John F. Kennedy Jr.
"Carolyn Bessette is somebody we look to as a symbol of understated elegance," Fashion expert Brooke Jaffe told Inside Edition about Markle’s look.
There are other examples of Markle and Bessette both wearing simple white shirts paired with jeans. Both wear their hair down with dark shades.
"I think something we keep seeing Meghan Markle do and is very reminiscent of Carolyn Bessette are these timeless classics.”
They have both donned little black dresses with identical necklines, as well as strapless dresses. They have both paired their outfits with camel colored coats for a sophisticated look.
Bessette was killed along with her husband and sister in a 1999 plane crash off the coast of Martha's Vineyard.
