Robert Page, 76, was reported missing by Lula, his wife of nearly 50 years, on Thursday. His remains were quickly found next door at the home of Christian Ponce-Martinez, 25.

A missing Georgia man was found dismembered in his neighbor's house after the two apparently had an argument, police said.

Robert Page, 76, was reported missing by Lula, his wife of nearly 50 years, on Thursday. His remains were quickly found next door at the home of Christian Ponce-Martinez, 25.

Surveillance video showed Ponce-Martinez going over to Page's house the night he disappeared, according to WXIA. Police then followed a trail of blood from Page's house to where Ponce-Martinez lived. There, under a tarp, they discovered Page's mutilated remains

Ponce-Martinez was taken into custody and charged with malice murder, Clayton County police said in a news release Friday. He is being held without bail and has not yet entered a plea.

Police did not comment on a motive for the killing, but an official told WXIA that it appeared that Page and Ponce-Martinez, who'd moved in next door three months earlier from Mexico, had argued prior to Page's murder.

Police are working to determine whether Ponce-Martinez was in the country legally.

Page was a father to two children and had two grandchildren as well.

“He’s irreplaceable. The personality he had was priceless. Nobody will ever be able to top him,” his grandson, Bobby Austin, told WSB-TV.

"... To go in such a tragic way, it just hit us all really hard at the moment."
