New Jersey Woman Wins $2.4 Million Jackpot After Betting $10 at Atlantic City Slot Machine

The unnamed woman from Hawthorne, New Jersey, had spent $10 to play the Wheel of Fortune Double Sapphire Gold Spin slot machine at the Borgata in Atlantic City Saturday when she hit “the progressive jackpot,” the casino said.
A New Jersey woman walked away from a casino a newly minted millionaire after hitting the jackpot on her first turn at a slot machine, officials said.
The unnamed woman from Hawthorne had spent $10 to play the Wheel of Fortune Double Sapphire Gold Spin slot machine at the Borgata in Atlantic City Saturday when she hit “the progressive jackpot,” the casino said.
The lucky gambler won $2,481,940.75 as a result.
“Talk about a way to end the summer!” the Borgata said on Twitter. “She hit the jackpot on her very first spin … congrats!”
The casino’s post on social media about the big win prompted other gambling enthusiasts to share their success stories.
“I love the Wheel of Fortune [game],” one user wrote on Twitter. "Best I’ve hit is $1,000."
Others shared words of wisdom.
"Congrats," one person posted. "Here's a tip, never go back to the casino again."
