Passenger Tossed From Car and Survives Following Fiery Florida Toll Booth Crash
The crash was all caught on surveillance video.
Unbelievable surveillance footage has been released from the moment a car crashed into a Florida toll booth, sending a passenger flying out the window.
It all started when the 23-year-old driver of a Cadillac approached the toll booth on June 3 and didn't slow down in time. The car crashed right through one of the toll lanes, according to InsideEdition.com affiliate WKMG and the Florida Highway Patrol.
A 25-year-old passenger was sent flying from the car and landed in an adjacent lane beside a car that had stopped to pay.
The driver and three other passengers quickly exited the car before the vehicle burst into flames.
The passenger who was thrown from the car survived, though the extent of his injuries was not known.
The driver was reportedly cited for careless driving. Police believe he was operating the car while asleep or fatigued at the time of the crash, according to the report.
Alcohol is not believed to have played a role.
