The first lady is receiving high praise for organized her first state dinner.

President Trump fawned over his wife as he toasted the leader of France, Emmanuel Macron, and his wife, Brigitte. He also took to Twitter Tuesday with additional compliments.

Melania chose a shimmering Chanel gown for the state dinner. The custom-made dress was hand-painted with silver and embroidered with crystals and sequins.

It was originally designed as a jumpsuit and presented at Chanel's spring runway show.

First daughter Ivanka Trump wore a polka dot gown with a ruffled skirt by Rodarte. The $12,000 dress may look familiar, as it's been worn on the red carpet by "Stranger Things" star Millie Bobby Brown and actress Kirsten Dunst.

Melania Trump reportedly planned her first state dinner as the White House hosted the French leader and his wife Tuesday night. 

White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said on Twitter that the first lady did an amazing job on the event.

At Time magazine's 100 most influential people gala Tuesday night, "CBS This Morning" host Norah O’Donnell praised the first lady.

“I think Melania Trump is an exceptional first lady,” she told Inside Edition. “I think that she endears the respect of a lot of people.”

There were no Hollywood celebs at the dinner, but guests included Trump cabinet members Steve Mnuchin and Stephen Miller, as well as high-profile dignitaries like Louisiana Gov. John Bel Edwards and former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger and his wife, Nancy.
