Proposal Fails: 4 Times Popping the Question Went Horribly Wrong
Getting down on one knee can be a nerve-wracking experience, but for these couples, it was downright cringe-worthy.

Sergio Chudy, 53, thought the perfect spot to propose to Sarka Edwars would be on a ledge overlooking the open ocean. In their excitement, however, they knocked the ring straight into the water. She agreed to marry him anyway.
They weren't the only ones to fall prey to the perils of water.
Isaiah Adams popped the question on the edge of Maryland’s Cunningham Falls and wound up losing the ring in the rushing water. “I was crying with happiness and then I was crying with fear at the same time," his girlfriend, Grace, said. "I looked at him and his face was just shock."
They never found the ring, but they did find a lifetime of happiness.
And water doesn't have to be involved for a proposal to go off the rails: Race car driver Jorge Calado spent a year writing a rap song to ask his beloved to marry him. When he finally played it for her, however, girlfriend Samantha Ward kept turning down the radio. She eventually caught on and tearfully accepted.
