A Georgia man drowned while trying to save his father, who had accidentally walked off their boat during a fishing trip.
Jeremiah Israel’s 64-year-old father had been sleeping when he woke up and thought he was home, according to the Troup County Sheriff’s Office. He attempted to go to the bathroom and instead fell into West Point Lake where the boat was docked.
