Sweet Toddler Doles Out Burritos to Hungry Firefighters Battling California Blazes
"We just wanted to show our support for them," Gracie's mom, Chelsey Lutz, told CBS News.
A kindhearted toddler has been captured handing out enormous burritos to firefighters battling the deadly California wildfires.
Exhausted law enforcement officials thanked Gracie Lutz, 2, as she doled out the foil-wrapped snacks while donning miniature firefighter boots. Video of the adorable encounter was posted to Facebook Monday, where it has racked up nearly 170,000 views.
"We just wanted to show our support for them," Gracie's mom, Chelsey Lutz, told CBS News. "We're just there to help."
She added that they would be back Monday night with spaghetti.
Lutz has a soft spot for firefighters — her father, Gracie's granddad, is one of the brave heroes battling the Carr Fire, which is one of 17 blazes burning across the state.
Hundreds of homes have been destroyed and thousands of people evacuated.
