Video Shows Moment Ladder Smashes Into Car's Windshield

A driver in Las Vegas narrowly avoided death when a ladder flew into her windshield.

In a moment captured on video, the ladder can be seen hurdling down the highway before slamming into driver Madi Nelson's windshield, cracking the glass. 

Nelson told KTNV the experience was terrifying. 

"I was in the far left lane, so I was just able to get over to the emergency lane. I threw my hazards on, and I was just trying to figure out what just happened," she said.

The ladder was apparently kicked up by a car ahead of Nelson's.

Fortunately, no one was injured. 

It's not clear how the ladder got on the highway.
