Wedding Photographer Arrested at Ceremony After Allegedly Being Caught Having Sex, Urinating on Tree
Katherine Leigh Mehta also allegedly yelled threats at the arresting officers, according to police.
A Texas wedding photographer allegedly had sex with a male guest at the ceremony, urinated on a tree and threatened the police officers who then tried to take her into custody, according to reports.
Photographer Katherine Mehta, a 26-year-old who also works as a model, was supposed to be snapping photos of a wedding at the Parker Manor near Weatherford, Texas, on Nov. 24. But what happened next is up for debate.
Two off-duty deputies working security were "advised by the wedding party" that Mehta "had been found having sexual intercourse with a male there,” according a police report.
The report states when Mehta was asked to leave the property, she "went to a tree nearby and began to urinate on the tree."
She was arrested and on the drive to jail, she allegedly yelled threats at the cops, according to the report.
"Y'all families will be dead by Christmas," the report states she shouted. "My dad is going to find out about this and y'all are f***ing dead. D-E-A-D."
Investigators believe she mixed the anti-anxiety medication Xanax with alcohol.
But a woman who said she is Mehta's sister said that she was slipped a spiked drink.
“She says she went outside and I guess there's a fountain outside, and I guess these two men tried to approach her and tried to do inappropriate things and she was yelling and trying to get help and everything got turned around onto her in a negative way,” the woman claiming to be her sister told WFAA.
Mehta faces charges of public intoxication and obstruction.
