Who Stole $350K Worth of Jewels From Trump Tower?
Women in two apartments of the president's building say they are missing valuable goods.
A jewel thief is reportedly on the prowl at Trump Tower in Manhattan.
Two residents of the building say a thief or thieves broke into their apartments and took off with $350,000 in diamonds and gems.
The first heist took place on the 42nd floor and the victim, oil heiress Patricia Raynes, 67, told the New York Police Department the crook got away with a Harry Winston diamond bracelet valued at $235,000.
The second break-in was at the 59th floor apartment of art dealer Isabelle Bscher, 33. She’s missing a $117,000 Graff diamond bracelet.
The first theft happened at some point between June 21 and Sept. 9, according to police. The second theft happened between Sept. 4-10, police said. It is unclear if they are the work of the same thieves or thief. Police say the investigation is still ongoing.
News of the thefts comes as the president and first lady are in town for the United Nations General Assembly. Police say there was no sign of a break-in at Trump Tower and they believe it was an inside job.
