109-Year-Old Virginia McLaurin Spins Basketballs With Harlem Globetrotters
The active centenarian says the Harlem Globetrotters are her favorite basketball team.
Is this the most active centenarian in America?
Three years after 109-year-old Virginia McLaurin danced with President Barack Obama at the White House, she’s playing basketball with her favorite team – the Harlem Globetrotters.
The exhibition basketball team honored the D.C.-area native by bringing her to center court and performing tricks around her.
McLaurin even took control of the ball at one point, spinning it around her finger from her wheelchair.
While McLaurin has spent her past several birthdays celebrating with the Harlem Globetrotters, this is the first game she has attended.
The event was held as a kickoff to her favorite basketball team’s upcoming tour.
