Mom Bought 12 Bags of Cocaine to Celebrate Her Daughter's 18th Birthday

One British mother was busted after she reportedly told police she planned her daughter's birthday with 12 bags of cocaine.
This mother wanted to have a big blowout for her daughter's 18th birthday.
Nicola Austen, 27, bought 12 bags of cocaine weighing in at more than eight grams for her daughter’s big day in February.
Austen admitted possessing cocaine with intent to supply and was sentenced this week in a British court to nine-month suspended sentence and 250 hours of unpaid work, according to reports.

Prosecutor Craig Evans said the mother and her daughter planned to celebrate the birthday in London.
“They were going to London in a limousine and she wanted to make sure they had a good time,” Evans told the court.
They missed out on the big night when police came by their home to talk to the mother, who had six previous convictions, including one for possessing amphetamine in 2010.
A police dog at the house sniffed out the coke and the mother admitted she got it for her daughter’s upcoming birthday, according to reports.

The judge decided not to send Austen to jail because she has a young son who would suffer if she were incarcerated.
