Video Shows Panthers Confronting Odell Beckham With Bat Before He Headbutted Rival

The newly-surfaced video was apparently shot at the pre-game warmup.

A video has just surfaced showing a Carolina Panthers practice squad player taunting New York Giants star Odell Beckham, Jr. during pre-game warmups prior to his controversial hit on Josh Norman.

Beckham launched himself at full speed during the game on Sunday into Josh Norman of the Carolina Panthers.

During the game, both players went at it prior to the big hit. There are now reports that Beckham was taunted with homophobic slurs before his meltdown.

Prior to the game, Norman had also been seen holding the bat on Sunday. Instagram video has surfaced of him swinging it around.

The Panthers say the bat is a motivational tool they bring on the field before every game and players on other NFL teams posted photos showing they do it too.

But does anything excuse a reaction like Beckham's?

WFAN talk show hosts Joe Benigno and Evan Roberts spoke to INSIDE EDITION about the incident.

Benigno said: "I am sure the trash talking was going nuts. I am sure it even started before the game and Beckham let it get to him and we saw the results of it."
